“I had never been to a Civil Funeral before, but I would certainly recommend and indeed intend to have one for my own funeral; the emphasis was on the person who died, with a celebration of his life. It lacked the intense sombre atmosphere that a religious Church funeral entails, which was far more uplifting, and may I say the celebrant who performed the service was amazing, Christine Jolly.
